Like other activities performed by humans, such as writing, playing, eating, cooking, etc., Management is also an activity, because the leader is the one who accomplishes the goals by directing other efforts. According to Koontz: "Leadership is what the leader does." Management as an activity includes -
** Informative events - In the activity of the company, the manager must always receive and provide information orally or in writing. It is necessary to maintain a communication link with the subordinates, as well as the company's effective operations managers.
** Decision-making activities - virtually all management activities are based on one or the other type of decision. Consequently, managers are constantly involved in making various decisions, as the decision taken by one manager becomes the basis for the action to be taken by other managers. (For example, the sales manager decides on the media and advertising content).
** Interpersonal activities - management involves achieving goals with people. Therefore, managers have to interact with bosses, as well as with sub-divisions. They must maintain good relationships with them. Interpersonal activities also have sub-sections and concerns about the problem. (For example, bonuses to be given to sub-tables).
